Political upheaval has suddenly intensified in Bihar. Dilip Jaiswal, the BJP state president and Revenue Minister, has resigned from his ministerial post. This move has sparked intense speculation regarding a potential cabinet expansion in Bihar.

Patna: Dilip Jaiswal, Bihar's Revenue and Land Reforms Minister and the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has resigned from his ministerial position. He cited the party's "one person, one post" policy as the reason for his decision. Announcing his resignation, Jaiswal stated, "I am resigning from the post of Revenue Minister. Our party operates according to the 'one person, one post' policy."

Resignation based on the "One Person, One Post" Policy

Explaining his resignation, Dilip Jaiswal said, "The BJP's clear policy is 'one person, one post'. I have been given the responsibility of state president, and I will fulfill this role with complete dedication." He stated that he resigned from his ministerial post respecting the decision of the party leadership.

With Bihar's assembly elections approaching, the BJP and JDU alliance may incorporate new ministers into the cabinet, considering caste and regional equations. A balanced representation of OBCs, extremely backward classes, and upper castes is likely.

Sources suggest that three to four new ministers from the BJP quota and two to three from the JDU quota may join the cabinet. Following Dilip Jaiswal's resignation, it is widely believed that the BJP will accommodate a new leader in the government.
