Unknown assailants on a motorcycle entered his home in broad daylight, injected him with a poisonous substance, and escaped. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition but died en route. This incident has created fear in the area, and the police administration is on high alert.

How the Attack Occurred?

Around 1 p.m., Gulaf Singh Yadav was sitting on a charpoy at his village office in Himaanchl. At that time, two young men on a motorcycle arrived and injected him in the stomach with a suspicious substance before fleeing on their motorcycle. Initially, his family thought he had been shot and rushed him to the government hospital in Junawai. Doctors there referred him to another facility. He died en route while being taken to Aligarh for treatment.

Gulaf Singh Yadav: Three Decades in Politics

Sixty-five-year-old Gulaf Singh Yadav was active in politics for the past three decades. In 2004, he contested the Gunnaur Assembly by-election against Mulayam Singh Yadav on a BJP ticket. He was also a member of the Backward Classes Commission. He held important positions including BJP state executive member, regional vice-president of Western UP, district officer of the RSS, and general secretary of the BJP.

His wife, Jabitri Devi, served as village head thrice. In the 2019 Junawai block head by-election, his son, Divyaprakash Yadav, was elected block head. Following this shocking murder, anger is prevalent among BJP workers and supporters. The Sambhal Superintendent of Police has stated that the accused will be arrested soon.
