The deceased include three men and two women.
The accident occurred while the group was on a religious pilgrimage to the Khwaja Bande Nawaz Dargah. The deceased have been identified as Wazid, Mahboobi, Priyanka, and Mahboob. All were residents of Bagalkot district.

This horrific accident occurred at approximately 3:30 AM on Saturday when a maxi-cab (TT van) carrying pilgrims collided with a lorry parked on the highway near Nelogi Cross. The impact was so severe that the front of the van was severely damaged, and some passengers died at the scene. Upon receiving information, Kalaburagi Superintendent of Police A. Srinivasulu, along with his team, arrived at the scene, and a case was registered at the Nelogi police station. The investigation into the accident is underway.
Treatment of the Injured
The eleven injured individuals were immediately admitted to the GIMS (Government Institute of Medical Sciences) hospital in Kalaburagi. According to doctors, the condition of some of the injured remains critical, and they are receiving priority treatment. This accident occurred while the group of pilgrims was en route to the Khwaja Bande Nawaz Dargah in Kalaburagi. Little did they know this journey would take such a tragic turn.
