PM Modi Writes Emotional Letter

In his letter, Prime Minister Modi wrote, "Though you are thousands of miles away, you remain very close to our hearts." Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh shared the letter, tweeting, "The entire world awaits Sunita Williams' safe return. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his concern and affection for this daughter of India."

What Did PM Modi Write in the Letter?

Prime Minister Modi praised Sunita Williams' achievements in his letter, writing:
"I extend my best wishes on behalf of 1.4 billion people of India. Recently, I met the renowned astronaut Mike Massimino at an event. Your name came up in our conversation, and we discussed how proud we are of you and your work. Following this conversation, I thought I should express my feelings by writing you this letter."

He further wrote, "Even when I met President Trump and President Biden during my visits to America, I inquired about your well-being. The people of India are proud of your accomplishments. Recent events have further highlighted your exceptional resilience and determination."

Invitation to Visit India

In closing his letter, Prime Minister Modi wrote, "I fondly remember meeting you during my visit to the US in 2016. I eagerly look forward to seeing you in India after your return. It would be an honour for us to host one of India's finest daughters."
