Speculation about a cabinet expansion began after Prem Chand Agarwal was removed from his ministerial post following a controversial comment during the budget session. However, discussions regarding this issue have been ongoing in political circles for the past three weeks.

Five Ministerial Positions Vacant; Expansion Expected Soon

The cabinet expansion has become necessary due to five vacant ministerial positions, which could hinder administrative work. BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt hinted that this is the opportune time and the expansion will happen soon.

CM Dhami to Discuss with Central Leadership

Sources indicate that CM Dhami attended a family function on Tuesday night and may meet with central leaders on Wednesday. He has requested a meeting with Amit Shah, which is likely to take place late Tuesday night or on Wednesday.

Five out of Twelve MLAs May Get Ministerial Berths

Sources suggest that the party has discussed the names of twelve MLAs, with three to five likely to be appointed as ministers. The final decision will be made in Delhi.

Chief Minister Dhami is expected to return to Dehradun late Wednesday or Thursday. Meanwhile, state president Mahendra Bhatt and state in-charge Dushyant Gautam are also in Delhi and will be consulted on this matter.
