The Beginning of the Struggle: The First Failure Became a Lesson
Arpita, hailing from Thane district, Maharashtra, was academically bright from childhood. She earned an Electrical Engineering degree from Sardar Patel College of Engineering. During her studies, she decided to become an IAS officer to serve the nation. But this journey was not easy.
Arpita first attempted the UPSC exam in 2019, but failed in the preliminary examination (Prelims). This was a major setback, but instead of giving up, she used it as a learning opportunity. She identified her weaknesses and resumed her preparation with renewed vigor.
IPS in the Second Attempt, But the Dream Was IAS
In 2020, Arpita appeared for the exam again and secured an All India Rank of 383. This rank led to her selection in the Indian Police Service (IPS). Becoming an IPS officer was an achievement, but her dream was to become an IAS officer. Therefore, she continued her preparation and appeared for the exam again in 2021. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful this time as well.
However, instead of giving up, Arpita strengthened herself. She focused completely on her goal and prepared with even greater determination for the next attempt.
Achieved the Dream of Becoming an IAS Officer in the Fourth Attempt
The year 2022 proved to be the most significant in Arpita's life. She took a break from her IPS job and dedicated herself entirely to UPSC preparation. This time her hard work paid off, and she achieved All India Rank 214, realizing her dream of becoming an IAS officer.
