New Zealand's Powerful Batting Display

New Zealand's innings began moderately, with Will Young and Rachin Ravindra adding 48 runs for the first wicket. Lungi Ngidi provided South Africa's first breakthrough, dismissing Will Young (21). This was followed by a magnificent 164-run partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson. Ravindra scored a brilliant 108 runs, including 13 fours and a six, before being caught by Heinrich Klaasen off Kagiso Rabada's bowling.

Kane Williamson also contributed a significant 102 runs before being dismissed, with the total reaching 251. Tom Latham managed only 4 runs. Daryl Mitchell (49) and Michael Bracewell (16) attempted to bolster the score. Daryl Mitchell remained unbeaten on 49, while Mitchell Santner contributed 2 runs. South Africa's Struggling Innings

South Africa's chase started poorly, losing Ryan Rickelton for 17 runs early on. While a 105-run partnership between captain Temba Bavuma (56) and Rassie van der Dussen (69) offered some resistance, they subsequently lost wickets at regular intervals. David Miller fought valiantly, scoring an unbeaten 100 off 67 balls, but lacked substantial support from the other end.

Mitchell Santner's Lethal Bowling

New Zealand's bowlers performed exceptionally well, with captain Mitchell Santner taking the most wickets (3). Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry each claimed 2 wickets, while Trent Boult and Tim Southee took 1 wicket apiece. South Africa were eventually bowled out for 312 in 50 overs, losing the match by 50 runs.

All eyes are now on the final match on March 9th, where India and New Zealand will clash in the Champions Trophy 2025 final. India will aim to create history, while New Zealand will strive for their first title win.
