India is once again set to witness international golf. The prestigious 17th Hero Women's India Golf Tournament will be played from October 9 to 12, 2025, at the DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram.

Sports News: Renowned female golfers from India and around the world are ready to showcase their talent at the 17th Hero Women's India Golf Tournament. This prestigious competition will be held from October 9 to 12 at the DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram. 114 players from 28 countries will participate in the tournament, with the competition taking place over 72 holes.

This year, the prize money has also been increased to make the competition more exciting. The total prize money has now been set at $500,000, an increase from the previous $400,000. The winner of the tournament will receive $75,000.

114 Players from 28 Countries to Participate

This prestigious competition will see 114 players from 28 countries participating this year. The tournament will be played over 72 holes, promising extreme excitement and competition. The organization of this tournament is continuously giving new recognition to women's golf in the Indian sports landscape. The biggest announcement is related to the tournament's prize money, which has been increased from $400,000 to $500,000.

This means the opportunities for the players have become even greater. The winning golfer will receive $75,000, which will be a significant inspiration for any player. On this occasion, Kavita Singh, President of the Women's Golf Association of India (WGAI), stated, "We are extremely proud that the tournament's prize money has been increased. This is a major achievement not only for Indian players but for golfers worldwide. Women's golf tours are gradually receiving the recognition they deserve."

Expectations from Indian Players

Although international players have consistently performed exceptionally well in this tournament, the past few years have been challenging for Indian players. Since Aditi Ashok won the title in 2016, no Indian player has managed to win this domestic tournament. This is precisely why fans across the country are hoping that an Indian golfer will clinch the title this year.

Advising the Indian players, Kavita Singh emphasized the need for them to focus on hard work, discipline, and mental strength.
She added, "We provide players with all possible support. However, the hunger and passion for winning must come from within them. Small habits like diet, exercise, and discipline are very important. There is no substitute for hard work."
