It features a new full hybrid powertrain, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Premium interiors, a digital instrument display, a 13-inch touchscreen, and 20-inch wheels make it stand out in terms of technology and style. This model will be launched in Europe in November 2025.
New Platform and Design
The new Volkswagen T-Roc has been developed on the modular and multi-energy MQB Evo platform. The first generation was based on the MQB A1 platform. The new platform offers better design flexibility, enhanced safety, and improved support for hybrid systems.
The car's silhouette has been retained, but the new T-Roc now appears bolder and more attractive. It features sharper lighting elements and a larger front grille. Full-width LED light strips are present at the front and rear. The top variants are equipped with large 20-inch alloy wheels. The new T-Roc measures 4,373 mm in length, an increase of 120 mm over the previous model.
Premium Interior and Technology
The interior of the new T-Roc is completely redesigned. It utilizes premium quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, and innovative technology. Special fabric has been used on the dashboard, creating a lounge-like ambiance with ambient lighting.
The top variants feature a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, a 10-inch digital instrument display and a head-up display are also present. The new T-Roc incorporates features from the new versions of the Tiguan and Golf. Several physical controls have been retained. Volkswagen's new multifunction digital rotary dial can be used to change drive modes, audio, and interior settings.
Engine and Power
The new T-Roc is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo petrol four-cylinder 48V mild-hybrid engine, which generates 116 PS of power and 150 Newton-meters of torque. Next year, a 2.0-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine will also be available for this car, coming with the top-spec 4WD variant. All versions will have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
In 2026, the new T-Roc will also receive a full hybrid (HEV) engine. This will make it the first Volkswagen car to feature a full hybrid powertrain. The full hybrid setup may include a petrol engine and a small electric motor. It is estimated that this setup could generate power from 134 to 168 PS and torque up to 306 Newton-meters.

These include a large infotainment screen, digital instrument display, ambient lighting, a multifunction rotary dial, and numerous safety features.
