Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette company has commenced deliveries of the X47, the world's first electric bike with a radar feature. This crossover bike is available in four variants, priced between INR 2.49 lakh and INR 3.99 lakh. The X47 offers a long range, advanced safety features, and a sporty design.

Ultraviolette X47: Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette has started deliveries of its fully electric X47 crossover bike. It is the world's first electric bike with a radar feature and comes in four variants: Original, Original+, Recon, and Recon+, with ex-showroom prices ranging from INR 2.49 lakh to INR 3.99 lakh. The X47 includes features such as a range of 211–323 km, a 40 horsepower motor, multi-level traction control, dual-channel ABS, hill-hold assist, and a 5-inch TFT display. The bike's sporty design, wide handlebar, and radar system make it capable for both on-road and off-road use.

Ultraviolette X47: Price and Variants

The Ultraviolette X47 crossover is available in four variants: Original, Original+, Recon, and Recon+. Their ex-showroom prices range between INR 2.49 lakh and INR 3.99 lakh. The Original and Original+ variants feature a 7.1 kWh battery pack, while the Recon and Recon+ come with a larger 10.3 kWh unit. The company has stated that deliveries have officially commenced in some Indian cities, and production will be gradually scaled up to meet the growing orders.

Design and Road Presence

The design of the X47 reflects its b road presence. The bike features a wide handlebar and distinctive bodywork. A cast-aluminum sub-frame and updated steering geometry differentiate it from the F77. With approximately 200 mm of ground clearance, this bike can be easily ridden in urban areas and on light trails. The riding position has also been specifically tuned for long-distance riding, ensuring easy reach to the handlebar for the rider. Overall, this bike is suitable for both sporty performance and everyday use.

Motor and Performance

The X47 is equipped with a synchronous electric motor, and two battery options are available. The smaller 7.1 kWh battery provides a range of 211 km, while the larger 10.3 kWh pack can cover a distance of up to 323 km. The top-spec Recon+ variant generates approximately 30 kW, which is 40 horsepower, and 610 Nm of wheel torque. The bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just eight seconds and has a top speed of 145 km/h. Its 170 mm suspension travel provides some readiness for off-roading. The bike has a seat height of approximately 820 mm and comes with a 1.6 kW onboard charger.

Features and Technology

The X47 is the world's first electric bike with a radar feature. It also includes several rider assistance functions, such as multi-level traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS, hill-hold assistance, and nine-step regenerative braking. The 5-inch full-color TFT display offers Bluetooth connectivity, navigation capabilities, and live diagnostic information. Higher variants also come with dual dash cameras featuring Sony sensors and integrated storage.

The bike offers three riding modes: Glide, Combat, and Ballistic. These modes adjust power delivery, throttle response, and regeneration intensity according to the rider's needs. This allows the bike's performance to be customized for all types of riding.
