Jabalpur: In the Majhauli police station area of Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh, a drunk young man entered a temple and desecrated the idol of Lord Hanuman. This incident not only hurts religious sentiments but also spreads anger and outrage in society. The viral video shows the youth kicking the idol and using abusive language, thereby offending religious feelings.

Immediately after the incident, villagers apprehended the accused and handed him over to the police. In-charge Police Station Officer Amit Mishra stated that a case has been registered against the accused under sections related to hurting religious sentiments and disturbing public peace. Preliminary investigation confirmed that the youth was under the influence of alcohol and deliberately committed the act.

Drunk Youth Behaves Indecently in Temple

This shameful incident occurred in the Khitoula Padwad area under Majhauli police station. The accused youth has been identified as Vinod Mahobia, a resident of Padwar. He is reportedly a follower of Rampal Baba.

According to local residents, Vinod arrived at the temple in an intoxicated state and began kicking the idol of Lord Hanuman installed there. He behaved indecently with the idol and used foul language, hurting religious sentiments. During the incident, people nearby were in panic, and the entire act was recorded on a mobile phone.

Viral Video Causes Widespread Outrage Among People

After the video went viral on social media, widespread outrage spread in the area. Villagers immediately reacted by assaulting the accused and then handing him over to the police. The video caused deep resentment within the religious community.

Local residents stated that such acts in temples and religious sites cannot be tolerated. People demanded strict action from the police and administration against the accused.

Police Action and Arrest

The police brought the accused, Vinod Mahobia, to the station and initiated a serious investigation into the matter. An FIR was registered against the accused under sections related to hurting religious sentiments, insult, and disturbing public peace.

Upon court orders, the accused has been sent to jail. Police officials state that a thorough investigation of the incident is being conducted to ensure that no such religious desecration occurs in the future.
