Abu Azmi Attacks BJP, RSS on Gandhi Jayanti: Alleges Anti-Muslim Policies & No Contribution to Freedom Struggle

On Gandhi Jayanti, Maharashtra's Samajwadi leader Abu Azmi attacked the BJP and RSS. He stated that these organizations do not adhere to the Constitution and adopt policies against Muslims.

Mumbai: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Maharashtra Samajwadi Party chief Abu Azmi bly criticized the BJP and RSS while remembering the nation's first President and Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He said that whatever work the BJP undertakes would be against Muslims, as the party has neither given tickets to any Muslim nor appointed any as a minister.

Abu Azmi told reporters, “The act of poisoning against Muslims is continuously ongoing. The RSS had no contribution to the country's independence, and today's children should understand this.”

Need to Teach Children History and Patriotism

Abu Azmi further stated that in the current times, Hindu-Muslim disputes and a hate-mongering mindset are reaching children. He believes that in the era of AI and modern education, children should know the truth about the country's freedom struggle.

He emphasized, “Children should know who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence, so that they receive accurate historical information and the true nature of hate-mongers is exposed.”

Abu Azmi Leveled Serious Allegations Against RSS

Targeting the RSS, Abu Azmi said that this organization does not respect the Constitution and for many years did not hoist the national flag, the 'Tiranga'. He asserted that the RSS is trying to paint the entire country in a single color.

“Today, every child needs to read the Constitution so that peace and harmony can be established in the country. Only by correctly understanding history will people comprehend who truly struggled for the nation's independence,” he stated.

Questions Raised on the Relationship Between RSS and the British

In his statement, Abu Azmi also alleged that RSS members, while imprisoned, would write letters to the British, attempting to obstruct the Swadeshi movement. He claimed, “They received pensions from the British. On this basis, the RSS's contribution to the freedom struggle is negligible.”

Abu Azmi's statement is not only considered significant from a political perspective but is also being viewed as a social and political debate among the media and the public.
