What is a Rights Issue

A Rights Issue is a process where a company offers its existing shareholders the opportunity to purchase new shares at a price lower than the market rate. Companies use this to expand their business, reduce debt, or launch new projects. This method is considered easier and more economical than obtaining bank loans.

Why Do Companies Opt for Rights Issues

This method strengthens the company's financial position. Shareholders also benefit as they get an opportunity to buy shares at a discounted price. In the long run, this reinforces both the company's value and the shareholders' stake.
