A shocking incident has come to light in the Khair police station area of Aligarh, where a Dalit youth was brutally beaten by some individuals for applying a tilak at a Shani temple. The incident occurred on June 23rd, when Raju, belonging to the Jatav community, went to the Shani temple located near the Shiwala canal and applied a tilak to his forehead. It is alleged that the dominant individuals present in the temple first asked his caste and then said, "You are a Muslim," to which Raju replied that he was a Dalit. Despite this, the attackers assaulted him. Someone recorded the entire incident on video and made it viral on social media, which caused the matter to escalate.

Following the video's viral spread, the police have taken action. According to the station in-charge of Khair police station, an investigation into the matter has been initiated, and the accused are being identified through the viral video. The victim's statement has been recorded, and a case has been registered. This incident not only presents a horrifying picture of social discrimination but also raises questions about the persistence of caste-based mentality in religious places.

Fracture in the hand

This case from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, has once again raised questions about caste discrimination and religious intolerance. The victim, Raju, who is from the Jatav community, stated that when he applied a tilak at the Shani temple, some people first asked his caste and then brutally beat him based on his caste. Raju sustained several serious injuries in this attack and also suffered a fracture in one of his hands.

Raju said that after the incident, he first went to the local police outpost and then to the police station, but his complaint was not heard anywhere. Finally, he had to approach the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Aligarh, where an FIR was registered. Now, the police are engaged in identifying and arresting the accused based on the viral video and other clues.

Returning from the fields

Now, the victim's wife, while providing information about the entire sequence of events, stated that her husband was returning home after working in the fields when it started raining. To avoid the rain, he went to the nearby Shani temple. After worshiping in the temple, as soon as he applied a tilak to his forehead, some dominant individuals present there asked his caste and then started beating him mercilessly.

After the incident, the victim's family filed a complaint at the local police station, on the basis of which the police registered a case. The police say that the investigation into the matter is being done rapidly, and the accused are being identified and action has been initiated against them. After the viral video, the administration has also become active, and the entire matter is being monitored.
