It is alleged that the dominant individuals present in the temple first asked his caste and then said, "You are a Muslim," to which Raju replied that he was a Dalit. Despite this, the attackers assaulted him. Someone recorded the entire incident on video and made it viral on social media, which caused the matter to escalate.
Following the video's viral spread, the police have taken action. According to the station in-charge of Khair police station, an investigation into the matter has been initiated, and the accused are being identified through the viral video. The victim's statement has been recorded, and a case has been registered.
