Amit Shah Claims Srinagar Terrorists Were Pakistani, Accuses Opposition of Giving Clean Chit to Pakistan

Amit Shah stated in Parliament that the three terrorists killed in the Srinagar operation were Pakistani. Attacking the opposition sharply, he said that some leaders are deliberately trying to give a clean chit to Pakistan.

Amit Shah: Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that the three terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev in Srinagar were from Pakistan. Shah stated that Pakistani identity cards and Pakistani-made chocolate were recovered from these terrorists. These are the same terrorists who attacked Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

Amit Shah's Direct Attack on the Opposition

Criticizing the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Amit Shah targeted Congress leader P. Chidambaram. Shah said that Chidambaram is trying to give a clean chit to Pakistan. He said that when Chidambaram questions what proof there is that the terrorists came from Pakistan, he is indirectly acquitting Pakistan. Shah said, "The former Home Minister of this country is trying to save Pakistan."

Shah's Claim: We Have Concrete Evidence

Amit Shah clearly stated that India has solid proof to prove that the three terrorists were Pakistani citizens. He said, "We have their voter ID numbers, chocolate made in Pakistan, and other evidence that proves their nationality."

'Ink on Your Faces, Why Aren't You Happy?' Jibe at the Opposition

The Home Minister taunted the opposition, saying, "I thought that when the news came that India had killed the attacking terrorists, there would be a wave of happiness in both the ruling party and the opposition. But here, there is ink on your faces. What kind of politics is this?"

Information on Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev

Amit Shah informed that Operation Sindoor took place on May 7, in which Indian armed forces targeted nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). This attack started at 1:04 AM and lasted until 1:24 AM. Shah said, "Our security forces killed more than 100 terrorists in Operation Sindoor."

Pakistan Informed at DGMO Level

Shah stated that after the operation, India's DGMO informed the Pakistani DGMO that India had taken this action while exercising its right to self-defense. He said that this is the current government, which gives a befitting reply to terrorist attacks. Shah sarcastically said, "Now is not the time when terrorists attack India and the government remains silent."

Questions Raised on Previous Governments as Well

The Home Minister questioned the policies of the Congress governments' tenure, saying that under the Indus Waters Treaty in 1960, India gave 80% of the water to Pakistan. Shah also said that during the Shimla Agreement in 1971, the Congress did not take any initiative regarding POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). He said, "If POK had been merged into India at that time, there would be no need to attack terrorist hideouts today."

Amit Shah said that the government has sent a clear message through Operation Mahadev and Operation Sindoor that India will no longer remain silent. He said that when the opposition should be proud of the success of the country's soldiers, they are instead raising questions.

Response to Questions Raised on PM's Foreign Trip

Shah mentioned the statement of Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a foreign tour at the time of the Pahalgam attack, and a high-level CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security) meeting was convened immediately upon his return. He said, "The Prime Minister gave complete operational freedom to the security forces, and Operation Sindoor and Mahadev are the result of that."
