Amit Shah Accuses Sudarshan Reddy of Naxal Support Over Salwa Judum Verdict

Amit Shah Accuses Sudarshan Reddy of Supporting Naxalism Due to Salwa Judum Verdict. Reddy Responds by Citing Supreme Court Ruling and Civic Duties.

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has accused Vice-Presidential candidate Sudarshan Reddy of supporting Naxalism. The accusation arose concerning the Salwa Judum verdict. Responding to these allegations, Sudarshan Reddy stated that it is the duty of every citizen to protect their life, liberty, and property. Reddy urged Shah to read the Supreme Court's verdict on Salwa Judum.

Accusations Regarding Salwa Judum Verdict

Amit Shah said that the opposition candidate, Sudarshan Reddy, gave such a decision in the Salwa Judum case, which helped left-wing extremism. He claimed that if this decision had not been taken, left-wing Naxalism would have ended by 2020.

Amit Shah also said that the Congress party is fielding such a candidate under the pressure of leftist parties, who supported Naxalism and used a sacred platform like the Supreme Court.

Sudarshan Reddy's Response

Responding to Amit Shah's allegations, Sudarshan Reddy said that he does not want to directly debate this issue with the Home Minister of India. He said that it is his duty to protect the life, liberty, and property of every citizen. Reddy emphasized that the Salwa Judum verdict was not his, but the Supreme Court's.

He said, "I would like Amit Shah to first read the 40-page verdict. If he had read it, he probably wouldn't have made such a comment. That is all I want to say and I end it here. There should be decency in the debate."
