When does Anant Chaturdashi begin?

Anant Chaturdashi Puja Vidhi

On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, one should take a bath and wear clean and auspicious clothes. Yellow or white colored clothes are considered particularly auspicious. Install the idols of Lord Vishnu and Ganesh Ji at the place of worship. Make 14 tilaks with vermilion on a wooden platform. It is essential to offer Pua or Puri on each tilak. After this, prepare the Anant Sutra and tie 14 knots with cotton or silk thread. This is considered a symbol of the 14 realms. Rotate the Anant Sutra five times in Panchamrit. After that, offer incense, lamps, flowers, fruits, and Tulsi. Recite the story of Shri Anant Swaroop Vishnu and recite Vishnu Sahasranama. After the puja, men should tie the Anant Sutra on their right hand and women on their left hand. Ganesh Visarjan should also be done with reverence on this day.

Rules of Anant Chaturdashi

The Raksha Sutra tied on Anant Chaturdashi should be worn for at least one year. If this is not possible, it should not be removed for at least 14 days. It is best to perform the first part of the puja in the morning regularly. If someone is unable to perform the puja in the morning for some reason, then perform the puja according to the rituals in the initial Muhurta in the evening.
