India national cricket team secured the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 title after defeating New Zealand national cricket team in the final, following which the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a total reward of Rs 131 crore for players, coaching staff, and support staff.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a reward of Rs 131 crore for the Indian team after its victory in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The reward will be distributed not only among the players but also among the coaching staff and other members of the support staff.
According to reports, the largest share of the Rs 131 crore reward will be allocated to the players. However, BCCI has not yet officially specified the exact amount that each player will receive. It is understood that the 15-member squad that participated in the tournament will receive the largest portion of the reward.
In addition to the players, members of the coaching staff, trainers, physiotherapists, analysts, and other support staff will also receive financial rewards based on their roles and contributions.

The Indian team won the title by defeating New Zealand national cricket team by a margin of 96 runs in the final match. India batted first in the final and posted a total of 255 runs.
Indian bowlers subsequently restricted New Zealand well short of the target, securing the victory and confirming the title win.
The Indian team was led by captain Suryakumar Yadav during the tournament. Under his leadership, the team completed the competition with consistent performances and secured the championship.
Throughout the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, India maintained a b record and lost only one match during the tournament.
In addition to the reward announced by BCCI, the Indian team also received prize money from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for winning the tournament.
According to reports, India received approximately $2.34 million, equivalent to around Rs 21.5 crore, as prize money for winning the tournament. The runner-up New Zealand received approximately $1.17 million, equivalent to around Rs 10.75 crore.
