Bhopal Khushbu Murder Case: A major update has emerged in the suspicious death case of model Khushbu Ahirwar. Police have arrested her boyfriend Qasim and searched the flat where the couple was living in a live-in relationship. During the search, police found some startling evidence. According to sources, a hijab was recovered from Khushbu's bag, while her Aadhaar card found in the flat showed her picture wearing a burqa.
Currently, the police are trying to ascertain the reason behind these items and the circumstances of Khushbu's death. The investigation is ongoing, and the police will soon present a detailed report.
Qasim Arrested, Startling Evidence Found in Flat
Police searched the flat where Khushbu and Qasim were living in a live-in relationship. During the search, a hijab was recovered from Khushbu's bag, along with an Aadhaar card issued in her name, on which she was seen wearing a burqa. These items have led police to suspect whether Qasim had attempted to change Khushbu's identity or religion.
According to police sources, the investigation has also revealed that Khushbu's photo on the Aadhaar card was edited. Police are now investigating who made these changes and when.
Family Alleges Forced Conversion and Violence
Khushbu Ahirwar's family has accused Qasim of pressuring her for religious conversion and physical violence. The family claims that Qasim initially befriended Khushbu by introducing himself as Rahul. When Khushbu discovered his true identity — Qasim Ahmed — she tried to end the relationship.

Subsequently, Qasim began pressuring her for marriage and religious conversion. Khushbu's sister, Tara Ahirwar, stated, “Qasim used to beat her, verbally abuse her, and force her to marry him.”
Loved as 'Rahul', Then Qasim Became a Terror
Khushbu's sister, Tara, told the police that her sister had come to Bhopal in 2022 for her studies. She also did modeling to cover her expenses. During this time, she met a young man named “Rahul,” who later turned out to be Qasim Ahmed. Qasim not only concealed his name but also began mentally and physically harassing her. According to the family, when Khushbu last visited home for Diwali, she appeared extremely distressed.
Khushbu's sister, Tara, stated that on the night of November 8, Khushbu had called her. She said, “Qasim is forcibly taking me to Ujjain to meet his mother. I don't want to go.” Shortly after, the call was disconnected. The next day, November 9, Tara received a call from her elder sister, Preeti Ahirwar, informing her that Khushbu had died while returning from Ujjain. The family reported that Khushbu's body had stiffened on the bus, and by the time help could arrive, she had already passed away.
Qasim Issues Clarification, Police Register Case
Qasim has denied all allegations during police interrogation. He claims that Khushbu's death was an accident, not due to any violence or pressure. However, based on the family's complaint and evidence, the police have had to register a case under serious sections. The police have registered a case under sections 296, 115(2), and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), section 35 of the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 2021, and section 3(2)(5)(k) of the SC-ST Act.
Police state that the investigation is now focused on whether an attempt was made to force Khushbu's religious conversion. Changes in the Aadhaar card, the picture in a burqa, and the recovery of a hijab are considered significant clues in this direction. Additionally, the police are also scrutinizing digital evidence and call records.
