Patna: Significant decisions were made in the Bihar Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The government has decided that land will now be leased not only in villages but also in cities for government schemes. Honorarium for Anganwadi Workers Increased

Jivika Headquarters in Patna and Protection of Cattle

A decision has been taken to construct a Jivika headquarters building in Patna at a cost of Rs 73.66 crore. Along with this, the Bihar Jivika Godhan Sanrakshan Evam Prabandhan Yojana (Bihar Jivika Cattle Protection and Management Scheme) has been approved. Jivika will now be responsible for the protection and management of cattle. This initiative will promote animal husbandry and strengthen the rural economy.

Solar Street Light Project and Rural Development

The government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore to complete the solar street light project in villages. This project will ensure lighting and safety in rural areas. It will also contribute to energy conservation and environmental protection.

Lease for Urban Gas-Based Crematorium Foundation

A 33-year lease has been granted for gas-based crematorium foundations in six major cities of the state. This scheme will help municipalities provide modern and eco-friendly cremation facilities.

Contingency Fund for Rural Drinking Water Assurance Scheme

The state government has approved Rs 594 crore from the contingency fund for the payment of outstanding electricity bills under the Rural Drinking Water Assurance Scheme. This step has been taken to ensure uninterrupted and effective water supply in rural areas.

Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Mandap Yojana (Chief Minister Daughter Marriage Pavilion Scheme)

The Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Mandap Yojana will be implemented in 8053 gram panchayats of the state in a phased manner. An amount of Rs 50 crore has been sanctioned for this. This scheme will provide financial assistance for the marriages of girls and promote respect for daughters in society.
