Convenience Close to Home

BSNL SIM cards and recharges will now be directly available at 1.65 lakh post offices across the country. Under the agreement between BSNL and India Post, customers will be able to purchase SIMs and get recharges from their nearest post office. This step will not only expand the company's reach in rural and urban areas but also enhance convenience for users.

Enhanced Digital Access in Remote and Rural Areas

The availability of SIM cards and recharges at post offices will eliminate the need for people in rural and remote areas to travel to cities or markets. This will help bridge the digital divide between urban and rural regions. As per the agreement, the supply of SIMs and staff training will be BSNL's responsibility.

Successful Trial in Assam and 4G Expansion

The trial of this scheme was first conducted in Assam, where SIMs were sold through post offices. BSNL is actively working to expand 4G connectivity across the country, with approximately one lakh sites being prepared for this. While private companies are already offering 5G services, BSNL is striving to upgrade its services.

New Affordable Recharge Plan

BSNL has introduced a new Rs 199 recharge plan for its users. It includes 28 days validity, unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS daily, and 2GB internet data per day. This plan is particularly beneficial for users who seek fast internet and calling facilities while staying within a budget.
