CDS General Anil Chauhan emphasized the need for Hybrid Warriors for future wars at the 'Ran Samvad' conference in Mhow. These warriors will be proficient in both arms and knowledge and will be able to face all circumstances.
Mahoo: At the closing session of the 'Ran Samvad' conference held in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan emphasized the need for Hybrid Warriors to fight future wars. He said that these warriors will be prepared for every kind of battle, whether it is on the border, anti-terrorism operations in urban areas, or cyber warfare.
In his address, General Chauhan said, "To win future wars, knowledge of both '‘Shastra’' (arms) and '‘Shastra’' (knowledge/scriptures) is essential. We need such warriors who are capable of facing every situation." He also said that preparation is essential for both war and peace.
CDS Emphasized the Need for Change in War Strategy with Time
On the final day of the 'Ran Samvad' conference, the CDS stated that war strategies and technologies are constantly changing and adapting to them is mandatory. He said that India is in favor of peace, but to maintain peace, war preparedness and vigilance must always be maintained.
He also said, "In the two days of Ran Samvad, we have seen that war and the ways of fighting war are changing rapidly. It is mandatory for our forces to keep pace with these changes so that we can face every challenge and ensure victory."
What will Hybrid Warriors be Like?
General Chauhan explained that Hybrid Warriors should not only be capable in traditional warfare but should also be proficient in neutralizing drones, decoding cyber intrusions, and maneuvering in desert and urban areas.
He said, "In future wars, knowledge of weapons alone will not suffice. Knowledge of '‘Shastra’' (strategy, planning and technology) is also essential. This will be the strength of the Hybrid Warrior."
Rajnath Singh Emphasized the Importance of '‘Ran Samvad’'
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the importance of the conference's name, saying that war and negotiation are both part of our culture. Giving an example, he said that Krishna also went as a peace envoy in the Mahabharata.
The Defense Minister said, 'In our culture, negotiation is never separate from war. It happens before the war, continues during the war, and continues even after the war. It teaches us how important it is to maintain a balance between peace and war.'
