In the southwestern region of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh, security forces initiated a search operation after receiving information about the presence of Maoists. During the operation, intermittent exchanges of fire occurred between security forces and Maoists early in the morning, resulting in success for the security forces.
So far, the bodies of two Maoists have been recovered from the search operation site. Additionally, a 303 rifle, other weapons, explosive materials, and daily use items have also been seized from the spot. Security forces claim that this action is a significant step towards controlling Maoist activities in the area and enhancing local security.
