The Congress party is organizing a 'Kisan-Jawan-Samvidhan' (Farmers-Soldiers-Constitution) public meeting in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, today, Monday, July 7th. This program is considered crucial for the party in determining its strategy for the upcoming elections. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge will address the public meeting. He will be joined on the stage by General Secretary of the organization K.C. Venugopal, State in-charge Sachin Pilot, and several senior leaders from Chhattisgarh.
Enthusiasm Among Workers on Display
A day before the public meeting, on Sunday, Congress state in-charge Sachin Pilot inspected the venue and took stock of the preparations. Speaking to the media, he said that despite the rain and cloudy weather, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the workers. Pilot described this gathering not just as a political event, but as a decisive step towards protecting the constitution. He stated that every Congress worker would carry the message of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge to the public and spread the party's ideology to every individual.
Kharge to Chair Political Affairs Committee Meeting
Following the public meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will chair a meeting of the party's Political Affairs Committee in Raipur. Sachin Pilot informed that the party's future direction and election strategy would be discussed in detail during this meeting. He said that a clear roadmap would be prepared in the meeting regarding the issues that Congress will prioritize in the upcoming assembly elections. Pilot also targeted the BJP, stating that the BJP had failed in all the promises on which it had come to power. He added that Congress would now enter the field with full force.
Questions Raised on Voter List Revision in Bihar
Meanwhile, Sachin Pilot also raised serious questions about the Election Commission regarding the ongoing voter list revision in Bihar. He said that the functioning of the commission was creating confusion among the public. Pilot said that with very little time left, it was looking difficult to properly verify each and every voter. He emphasized that it was the Election Commission's responsibility to ensure that every eligible citizen could properly exercise their right to vote. Pilot stated that not only the Congress, but the entire opposition was protesting against this process and considered it a matter of concern for the democratic system.
