A major revelation has emerged in the investigation of the Delhi blast. Eight terrorists had planned a series of IED blasts in four cities across the country. The suicide bomber has been identified as Dr. Umar Mohammed. Several accomplices are still at large.
Delhi Blast: A significant revelation has now come to light in the investigation into the blast near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station. Investigating agencies have stated that this attack was not limited to Delhi, but rather a plan was devised to carry out IED explosions in four cities across the country. Eight suspects were involved in this terrorist conspiracy, who had planned a series of blasts. The investigation revealed that each group possessed its own IED device and all were preparing to carry out blasts in different cities.
Plan for Serial Blasts in Four Cities
According to sources from investigating agencies, eight suspects had planned to carry out simultaneous explosions in four major cities. They had divided themselves into groups of two to facilitate attacks in four locations simultaneously. Each team had its own IED, with a conspiracy to detonate them at different locations on the same day. It is also being reported that these suspects possessed sufficient explosive materials and had undergone special training for this purpose.
This revelation makes it clear that the blast in Delhi was not an isolated incident but the beginning of a larger network, aiming to create an atmosphere of fear across the country.
Plan to Bomb During Diwali and Republic Day
The investigation also revealed that the terrorists had planned attacks during festivals and national occasions. According to sources, they had planned major blasts during Diwali and Republic Day. However, due to the vigilance of security agencies, they were unsuccessful in their intentions.
Previously, Delhi Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had received intelligence inputs suggesting that terrorist organizations were preparing for large-scale attacks during festivals. The evidence found in this investigation has now confirmed these apprehensions.
Suicide Bomber Identified
The identity of the person who died in the explosion near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station has now been confirmed. Investigating agencies stated that DNA testing has confirmed the individual involved in the blast was Dr. Umar Mohammed. This is the same person who recently absconded during a Jammu and Kashmir Police raid in Faridabad.
DNA tests were conducted on the human remains found at the scene and matched with samples from Umar Mohammed's family. The report confirmed the deceased was indeed him.

Truth Revealed by DNA Test
Delhi Police issued a statement saying that the results of the DNA test proved conclusive. The person killed in the explosion has been identified as Dr. Umar un Nabi alias Umar Mohammed. At the time of the blast, he was driving the car in which the IED device was placed. After the explosion, his foot got trapped between the steering wheel and the accelerator, which is why parts of his body were found there. DNA samples were matched with his mother's, and the report confirmed a match. This confirmed that he was the suicide bomber of the Red Fort blast.
Who Was Dr. Umar Mohammed?
The investigation revealed that Umar Mohammed was no ordinary individual. He was an educated youth who taught at the medical college of Al Falah University in Faridabad. Ostensibly, he worked as a professor, but covertly, he was in contact with terrorist organizations.
Investigating agencies stated that Umar Mohammed was a key part of the terrorist network and was on a fidayeen (suicide) mission. Before the blast, he was in contact with his associates and was overseeing the entire operation.
Network Uncovered
The investigation also revealed that several of Umar's associates are still at large. Some of them have been identified, and police have conducted raids at several locations. According to sources, this network is linked to Pakistan-based terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
These organizations had prepared fidayeen (suicide bombers) to carry out attacks in various cities across India. Investigating agencies have detained several suspects, and their interrogation is ongoing.
Agencies' Prompt Action
Delhi Police, NIA, and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) have jointly intensified the investigation into this entire case. The movements of the suspects are being traced through forensic reports, CCTV footage, and call detail records.
Police stated that several crucial pieces of evidence were recovered from the blast site, including remnants of explosive material, mobile parts, and electronic circuits. These indicate that the blast was carried out in a highly planned manner.
Alert Issued in Four Cities
Following this revelation, security agencies have issued a high alert in the four major cities of the country. Security has been heightened in Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Jaipur. Police and bomb disposal squads have been deployed at metro stations, airports, and public places. Security agencies have also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious objects or individuals to the police.
