A Festival of Joy for Ladli Behna

The program began with a welcome by local artists and an observation of the exhibition. The Chief Minister participated in the Annaprashan Sanskar (first solid food ceremony) of young girls and described it as "a confluence of Bhai Dooj and Raksha Bandhan." He urged those present to switch on their mobile torches and said, "Those who used to say that we wouldn't fulfill our promises should open their eyes and see. We said we would give 1500 rupees to our sisters, and we have delivered."

The Chief Minister stated that the country is rapidly changing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Our goal is to further strengthen the economic condition of our sisters. Gradually, we will continue to increase the amount so that women can become self-reliant," he added.

New Direction for Women's Development

Dr. Yadav announced that study material based on the life of Rani Durgavati will now be included in the school curriculum of Madhya Pradesh. He stated that just as Rani Lakshmibai's name is recorded in the education system, the heroic sagas of Rani Durgavati and other tribal heroes will now also be taught to children.

He stated that the government's objective is to make women "fearless and leaders." The state government has so far distributed over 45,000 crore rupees to the Ladli Behna beneficiaries. Going forward, the aim is to connect women with employment-based enterprises under the scheme, enabling them to earn up to 5000 rupees per month.

Strong Attack on Congress

In his address, the Chief Minister also targeted the opposition, stating, "When we said we would give 1500 rupees to our sisters, Congress mocked us. Today, we have fulfilled our promise, and this amount will continue to be provided. No power in the world can stop it." He accused Congress of disrespecting 'Vande Mataram,' the symbolic song of the freedom movement. "The song that inspired the country to independence, Congress committed the sin of breaking it," he said. The Chief Minister informed that on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, the country is participating in a national song campaign under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
