GIFT Nifty Signals Higher Opening for Indian Stock Market

GIFT Nifty was trading around 24,555, up 39.50 points or 0.16%, indicating a higher opening for Indian equities. Investors will track US CPI data, Q1 results and corporate updates from companies including Bata India, Manappuram Finance, PI Industries, BEML and Larsen & Toubro.

Indian equities are expected to open higher on Wednesday, with GIFT Nifty indicating a positive start. At around 7:30 am, GIFT Nifty was trading near 24,555, up 39.50 points, or 0.16%, indicating a higher opening for the domestic market.

Investors will also track the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data due later in the day. Domestic companies' quarterly results and corporate updates are also expected to influence trading in several stocks.

Tata Motors, Grasim Industries, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises, Lenskart Solutions, Hindustan Aeronautics, Arvind, Astral, Aditya Infotech, EID Parry India, EMS, GMR Airports, IndiQube Space, IRCTC, Jyothy Labs, National Fertilizers, Petronet LNG, SKF India, Sun TV Network, Titagarh Rail Systems, VIP Industries, VA Tech Wabag and Yatra Online are among the companies scheduled to release their quarterly financial results today.

Bata India's quarterly results showed an increase in profit and revenue. The company's profit rose 23.04% to ₹63.98 crore from ₹52 crore in the same period last year. Revenue increased 3.9% to ₹978.9 crore. The board also announced an interim dividend of ₹25 per share for FY2027.

Manappuram Finance's profit increased more than fourfold to ₹584.6 crore from ₹138.4 crore in the same period last year. Net interest income increased 28.1% to ₹1,723.7 crore.

RHI Magnesita India's profit increased 83.2% to ₹64.6 crore from ₹35.3 crore in the same period last year. Revenue increased 5.6% to ₹1,014 crore.

PI Industries reported a 39% decline in profit to ₹244.2 crore from ₹400 crore in the same period last year. Revenue declined 10.4% to ₹1,702.3 crore.

Tenneco Mauritius may sell around an 8% stake in Tenneco Clean Air India through a block deal, with an option to sell an additional 2% stake. The proposed floor price is ₹515 per share, while the base offer size is around ₹1,663 crore.

Zydus Lifesciences' subsidiary Sentynl Therapeutics and Mereo BioPharma Group have entered into an agreement relating to Alvelestat. The agreement covers commercialisation in the US and global manufacturing rights for the treatment of AATD-LD.

BEML has received an order worth ₹184.25 crore from Hindustan Aeronautics. Under the order, the company will manufacture and supply fuselage aerostructures for the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH).

HG Infra Engineering has received a Letter of Award from the Rajasthan government's Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship for the operation and management of the ITI Bhiwadi cluster. The project is under PM-SETU, and the company's share is 17.10% of the estimated project cost of ₹241 crore.

Larsen & Toubro has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement with its subsidiary Vyoma.AI. Under the agreement, its data centre and cloud services business will be transferred to Vyoma through a slump sale for ₹1,400 crore.

KFin Technologies has announced the launch of an agentic AI solution named 'Klarity'. The solution is related to the use of artificial intelligence in financial services.
