International gold and silver prices rose on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, following volatile trading in the previous session. In the domestic futures market, both precious metals recorded gains, with silver posting a larger increase than gold.
In the international market, Comex gold was trading higher on Tuesday morning. At around 9 a.m., gold was up approximately 1.22% at $4,473.50 per ounce. Comex silver was also higher, gaining around 1.02% to trade at $65.940 per ounce.
The movement in international precious metal prices was accompanied by gains in the domestic market. In addition to international prices, the Indian rupee’s exchange rate and local demand also influence domestic gold and silver prices.

Gold prices also rose in the Indian futures market on Tuesday. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold was trading at ₹1,55,096 per 10 grams, up by around ₹1,997, at the time of reporting.
Silver recorded a larger gain than gold during Tuesday’s trading session. On the MCX, silver was up ₹2,708 at around 9 a.m., reaching approximately ₹2,39,575 per kilogram.
Factors including industrial demand, investment demand and the availability of silver in global markets influence silver prices.
According to available data, prices for different purities of gold and silver in the domestic market on August 11 were as follows: 24-carat gold was around ₹1,55,210 per 10 grams, 22-carat gold was around ₹1,42,276 per 10 grams, 18-carat gold was around ₹1,16,408 per 10 grams, and silver was around ₹2,40,340 per kilogram.
