Gold and silver prices continued to fluctuate in global markets despite reports of easing tensions in the Middle East, while domestic bullion markets in India recorded a firm trend on April 18, 2026, supported by rising demand ahead of the wedding season.
According to the latest rates issued on April 18, 2026, both precious metals registered marginal gains in India, with buying activity remaining elevated. Market participants indicated that movements in international markets, particularly on COMEX, could have a direct impact on domestic bullion prices.
Wedding Season Demand Supports Market Activity
With the onset of the wedding season in India, jewellery markets have witnessed an increase in footfall. Despite higher prices, there has been no significant decline in demand for gold and silver. Continued purchasing activity in the domestic gold market indicates that consumers continue to view the metal as both a store of value and a traditional asset.
