Gold and Silver Prices Rise Across Indian Markets on June 15

Gl markets. Gold traded near Rs 149,000 per 10 grams in several cities, while silver reached up to Rs 265,000 per kilogram in select markets amid global uncertainty, a weaker dollar, and continued demand for precious metals.

Gold and silver prices recorded a sharp increase in the domestic bullion market on June 15 amid positive trends in international markets and rising investor demand for precious metals.

The rally in global gold and silver prices was reflected in Indian markets, with both metals registering notable gains. Market experts attributed the rise to global uncertainties, weakness in the US dollar, and increased demand for safe-haven assets.

According to the latest market data, 24-carat gold was trading at around Rs 149,000 per 10 grams in several major cities, while 22-carat gold was priced at approximately Rs 136,000 per 10 grams. Prices of 18-carat gold also remained elevated.

In major cities including Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Gurugram, and Chandigarh, 24-carat gold was trading at around Rs 149,230 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, and Bengaluru, prices were recorded at approximately Rs 149,080 per 10 grams. Chennai reported higher prices than other major cities, with 24-carat gold reaching around Rs 151,200 per 10 grams.

Silver prices also registered significant gains alongside gold. In several key markets, silver prices climbed to around Rs 260,000 per kilogram, while some cities reported rates close to Rs 265,000 per kilogram.

In Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad, silver was priced at approximately Rs 260,000 per kilogram. In Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and markets across Kerala, silver prices reached around Rs 265,000 per kilogram.

Market experts said international economic conditions remain a key factor influencing precious metal prices. During periods of heightened global uncertainty or a weaker dollar, investors typically increase allocations to safe-haven assets such as gold and silver.

Gold has long been regarded as a safe investment during periods of economic instability, leading to increased demand and higher prices during global market uncertainty. Silver prices, meanwhile, are influenced by both investment demand and industrial consumption, including requirements from the electronics, solar energy, and other industrial sectors.
