Gold and silver prices showed different trends on August 10, 2026, with gold declining marginally and silver gaining in domestic and international markets. MCX gold was around ₹1,51,760 per 10 grams, while MCX silver traded at ₹2,33,200 per kilogram.

On Monday, August 10, 2026, gold and silver prices showed divergent trends in domestic and international markets. Gold remained under pressure, while silver recorded gains. In the domestic futures market, silver rose by more than ₹1,700, while gold traded with a marginal decline.

Gold prices softened in the international market on Monday morning. On COMEX, gold was trading around $4,385 per ounce at about 9 am, down approximately 0.33%. Investor activity in global markets was an important factor behind the movement in gold prices. Internationally, gold is generally considered a safe investment option, and its price can be affected by global economic uncertainty and signals related to interest rates.

Silver, in contrast, showed strength in the international market. On COMEX, silver was trading around $63.690 per ounce at about 9 am, up approximately 0.30%. Silver is used not only as an investment precious metal but also in electronics, solar energy, automobiles and several industrial sectors. Changes in industrial demand can therefore affect silver prices.

In India, gold prices recorded a marginal decline on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday. During trading, gold was down by around ₹60 at approximately ₹1,51,760 per 10 grams. Domestic futures prices remained under some pressure. Changes in international markets and movements in the rupee can also affect domestic prices.

Silver performed better than gold in the domestic futures market. At about 9 am, silver on MCX was trading at ₹2,33,200 per kilogram, up approximately ₹1,734. The rise in silver prices drew investors' attention. Silver prices, however, generally experience greater fluctuations than gold.

According to the available market data, the price of 24-carat gold in India on August 10 was around ₹1,51,950 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold was around ₹1,39,288 per 10 grams, while 18-carat gold was reported at around ₹1,13,963 per 10 grams.

Retail gold prices in local markets can vary depending on the city, jewellery quality, making charges and applicable taxes.

The price of silver in India was around ₹2,34,400 per kilogram. The rise in domestic silver prices and gains in the international market supported silver during Monday's trading session.
