Gift Nifty was trading slightly lower at around 7:15 am on Tuesday, indicating the possibility of a negative or weaker opening for the domestic equity market. The market is set to begin the session with cautious signals, although market experts believe the upward trend in equities this week has not completely ended.
Investors will track Q1 FY27 results, global market cues, crude oil prices and upcoming inflation data from the US. Recent trading sessions have seen volatility, and investors are focusing on quarterly results, earnings quality and companies’ forward business estimates. The final phase of Q1 results could trigger sharp movements in select stocks.
International developments, along with domestic factors, could influence the direction of Indian equities. US-Iran talks, fluctuations in crude oil prices and upcoming US inflation data could affect global risk sentiment. Positive global cues could bring buying back into the domestic market after an initial weakness, while weak global signals and higher crude prices could increase pressure on the market.
