Google Pixel Watch 5 has launched in India with a starting price of ₹42,999. The smartwatch features a 3,000-nit display, Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor, Gemini integration, Health Guardian, Breathing Emergency Detection and up to 40 hours of battery life.

Google Pixel Watch 5 has been launched in India with new health and AI features. The smartwatch is priced at ₹42,999 for the 41mm model and ₹45,999 for the 45mm variant, with sales starting August 20.

The Google Pixel Watch 5 features a domed Actua 360 AMOLED LTPO display with peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 60Hz and an Always-On Display, while scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass is used for protection.

For performance, the smartwatch comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated platform and a Cortex-M55 co-processor. It has 64GB of eMMC storage. According to the company, the new dual-chip setup provides improved RAM, CPU and overall performance compared with the previous generation.

Gemini is more deeply integrated into the Pixel Watch 5. Users can interact with Gemini by raising their wrist. The smartwatch also provides proactive suggestions based on information connected to Google services such as Gmail and Calendar.

The Pixel Watch 5 includes ECG with AFib detection, high and low heart-rate alerts, resting heart-rate monitoring, SpO2, HRV, breathing-rate and skin-temperature tracking. It also offers real-time stress tracking and sleep monitoring.

The new Health Guardian feature is designed to help users understand long-term health trends. It provides monthly summaries of blood pressure trends, sleep breathing quality and insulin resistance trends. According to the company, the feature is intended to show changes over time rather than provide a clinical reading at a single point.

Breathing Emergency Detection uses on-device AI along with data from the PPG, accelerometer and barometer sensors to detect continuous and severe drops in oxygen saturation.

The Pixel Watch 5 supports more than 50 activities for fitness tracking. It also includes real-time audio-visual guidance, weekly cardio goals and a daily readiness score. The upgraded dual-frequency GPS is claimed to provide improved accuracy for route tracking.

The 41mm model is claimed to offer up to 30 hours of battery life, while the 45mm model offers up to 40 hours. A 15-minute charge is claimed to provide up to 15 hours of battery life. The smartwatch also has an IP68 rating.

In India, the Pixel Watch 5 starts at ₹42,999 for the 41mm model, while the 45mm variant is priced at ₹45,999. Both models are available with different case and Active Band combinations. Pre-orders have started, and sales will begin on August 20.
