The deceased young man was returning home after closing his shop. During that time, unknown assailants opened fire on him.
The young man died on the spot due to the gunshot wound. Hearing the sound of the incident, nearby residents rushed to the scene, and a commotion ensued upon seeing the blood-soaked body.
Police personnel, including the Station Officer and Outpost In-charge, arrived at the scene and are assessing the situation. The crime scene is being investigated, and efforts to apprehend the culprits are underway.
Police have taken custody of the deceased's body and sent it for post-mortem.
