Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh) - A tense situation arose in a busy area of the city on Saturday night when two groups drew illegal weapons and burst firecrackers, creating sounds resembling gunfire, causing fear among the local public.
According to police sources, the incident occurred in the main market area of the city, where an argument between the two groups escalated into a confrontation over a dispute. While the root cause of the dispute is still unclear, some people present at the scene alleged that both sides brandished weapons in a threatening manner and set off loud firecrackers.
Following the incident, nearby residents rushed out of their shops and homes in fear. Police forces immediately arrived at the scene to control the situation and separated the two groups, gathering information about the matter. The Station House Officer (SHO) of the local police station stated that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
The police officer said that any act that disrupts law and order and poses a threat to public safety is being taken seriously. Local residents have been appealed to refrain from spreading any rumors in the tense situation and to immediately inform the police if they suspect any illegal activity.
