HAL Q4 Results: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has released its financial results for the fourth quarter (January-March) of fiscal year 2024-25. The company reported a net profit of ₹3,977 crore. Furthermore, it announced a 500% dividend, delighting investors.

Q4 Profit Down 7.7% YoY, but 176% Up QoQ

HAL's profit for the quarter decreased by 7.7% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹3,977 crore, compared to ₹4,309 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. However, on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, the profit showed a significant increase of 176%. Q3 profit was ₹1,440 crore, which rose to ₹3,977 crore.

Company Revenue Down 7.2% YoY, but 97% Growth QoQ

Regarding revenue, HAL's income decreased by 7.2% YoY to ₹13,700 crore in the fourth quarter, compared to ₹14,769 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. However, a substantial 97% QoQ growth in revenue was observed. Q3 revenue stood at ₹6,957 crore, doubling to ₹13,700 crore.

9.7% Profit Growth in FY25

HAL demonstrated b performance throughout fiscal year 2024-25 (April 2024-March 2025). The company's net profit increased by 9.7% to ₹8,364 crore, compared to ₹7,621 crore in the previous year. Operating income remained relatively stable, increasing from ₹30,381 crore to ₹30,981 crore.

Significant 500% Dividend Announcement

HAL announced good news for its investors, declaring a dividend of ₹25 per share (500%) on a face value of ₹5. This dividend was finalized in a board meeting held on February 12, 2025.

HAL Shares Jump 4%

Following the release of HAL's quarterly results, the company's stock experienced a significant surge in the stock market. On the BSE, HAL shares rose by 4%, reaching a high of ₹4,798, reflecting investor confidence.

HAL is shifting its focus from traditional licensed production to indigenous projects. Key projects undertaken by the company include:

  • Tejas MK1 and MK1A
  • Su-30 Upgrade
  • Dornier-25
  • Light Utility Helicopter (LUH)

Experts believe that these projects will further boost HAL's revenue. Indigenization will strengthen the company's position in the future.
