New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday (December 3) targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her Trinamool Congress government. Saini alleged that Hindus are being targeted there and women are distressed. He claimed that the Trinamool Congress government is focusing on appeasing a particular section of society.
Saini also questioned how many "outsiders' votes" have been added to the state's electoral rolls and asked if this was why the intensive revision of the voter list (SIR) was being opposed.
Questions Raised on Women and Voter List
CM Saini spoke to reporters on Wednesday, December 3, after releasing the second installment of his government's 'Dīn Daya Lado Lakshmi Yojana' in Haryana. During this interaction, he questioned the situation of women in West Bengal. Saini stated:
'Despite having a woman Chief Minister, women there are distressed. Daughters cannot go out. There is concern regarding the safety and freedom of women.'
Furthermore, he also raised questions regarding the Voter List and the intensive revision of the voter list (SIR) in the state. He alleged that the Mamata government is engaging in vote-bank politics and that outsiders' votes are being added, which is affecting the electoral process.

Allegation of Vote Bank Politics and Discrimination
Saini stated that the Trinamool Congress is engaged in appeasing a specific section of society and has failed to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities. He alleged that the government is engaging in communal politics by targeting the Hindu community. Saini said:
'She is discriminating by focusing on a particular section of people and engaging in vote-bank politics. How Hindus are being targeted is evident to all. This is unfortunate.'
The Chief Minister compared the work of his BJP party with that of opposition parties, stating that his government is directly delivering schemes and benefits to the people, whereas opposition parties only make grand promises. Saini said that all schemes initiated by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are designed keeping in mind the welfare of 140 crore Indians. He also stated that the objective of these efforts is to simplify the lives of the common public and deliver benefits directly to the people.
