Haryana Launches New Air Service from Hisar to Jaipur, Boosting Regional Connectivity

The Haryana government has strengthened the state's air connectivity by launching a new air service from Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar, to Jaipur. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated this service on Friday evening.

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched air services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar, to Jaipur on Friday evening. Inaugurating the flight virtually from Chandigarh, he stated that this new flight is not just a beginning but a significant step towards Haryana's development, regional inclusion, and modern connectivity.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the expansion of air services in Haryana will strengthen the state's identity and ensure a self-reliant, progressive, and inclusive future for the state. He also mentioned that air services to Ahmedabad and Jammu from Hisar will commence soon.

New Flight to Enhance Haryana's Air Connectivity Network

During his virtual address, the Chief Minister explained that the flight from Hisar Airport to Jaipur will now be convenient and time-saving for passengers. On the very first day, 28 passengers utilized this service and reached Jaipur from Hisar in just 55 minutes. Saini remarked, "The increase in air services will strengthen Haryana's identity and propel the state towards a self-reliant, progressive, and inclusive future."

Hisar Airport has been equipped with modern technology and facilities in collaboration with the Airports Authority of India. A Doppler VOR system has been installed here, which has reduced the minimum visibility from 5,000 meters to 2,800 meters. This means that flight operations will be possible even in adverse weather conditions.

Furthermore, an Instrument Landing System (ILS) is also being installed, which will make landings of aircraft safe and easy during the night. Facilities such as a new terminal building, ATC tower, cargo complex, fire station, administrative building, and parking are being developed at the airport.

Hisar: As an Investment and Industrial Hub

The Chief Minister also stated that the new air service is not merely a transport facility. The government is making efforts to develop Hisar as an industrial, logistics, and investment hub. On August 28, 2024, Hisar was made a part of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. On August 20, 2025, a State Support Agreement was signed for the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster.

Saini added that the government is working towards making Hisar Airport an alternative to Delhi Airport. The objective is to promote commercial and economic activities in the state.
