Thousands of people took part in a Tiranga Yatra from Curzon Ground in Hazaribagh ahead of Independence Day, carrying the national flag and raising slogans of patriotism. The event was organised to take the message of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to the public.

The Tiranga Yatra began from Curzon Ground in Hazaribagh, with large numbers of people participating with the national flag in their hands. Slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” were raised during the procession.

The participants included young people, elderly citizens and people from other sections of society. Several participants also wore outfits in the colours of the Tricolour. People standing along the route welcomed the procession.

Addressing the programme, the MLA appealed to people to hoist the Tricolour at their homes. He said the Tricolour is not merely a flag but a symbol of the country’s honour, dignity and pride.

The MLA urged people to hoist the Tricolour at their homes on Independence Day and demonstrate their responsibility and respect towards the country. He also appealed to young people to participate actively in the campaign.

The Tiranga Yatra was organised as part of efforts to strengthen public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Preparations for the programme had been completed beforehand.

According to the local report, the plan was to start the Tiranga Yatra from the Curzon Ground Stadium in Hazaribagh, with a large number of workers and supporters expected to participate.

The organisers sought to encourage more people to join the campaign and hoist the Tricolour at their homes. The procession also conveyed a message, particularly to young people, about patriotism and respect for the national flag.

Young people participated in large numbers, carrying the Tricolour and moving forward in the procession. The organisers also conveyed a message to young people to play their role in the country’s development and become responsible citizens.

Participants said that such a procession ahead of Independence Day creates a positive atmosphere in the city. Several said they would hoist the Tricolour at their homes on 15 August and encourage people around them to do the same.

The movement of people increased in different parts of the city during the Tiranga Yatra. The administration also made preparations regarding security and traffic arrangements along the route.

The large number of people taking to the roads together also posed a challenge for maintaining organised traffic movement.

The Tiranga Yatra was also used to convey a message about remembering freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence and drawing inspiration from their contributions.

Speakers said that independence was the result of a long struggle and sacrifices, and that respecting its dignity and national symbols is the responsibility of every citizen.

Ahead of Independence Day, different programmes are being organised across the country under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appealed to people to celebrate 15 August with pride and respect and participate in the campaign.

The Hazaribagh Tiranga Yatra was also aimed at strengthening public participation in the campaign and encouraging people to hoist the Tricolour at their homes.
