Orange Alert Issued in Rajasthan
The monsoon rains are continuing in Rajasthan. Light to moderate rain was recorded in most parts of the state in the last 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in some districts in the next two-three days. Especially on Tuesday, an orange alert has been issued for very heavy rain in Jalore, Udaipur and Sirohi. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Alwar, Banswara, Dungarpur, Jhunjhunu, Rajsamand, Barmer, Bikaner and Pali districts.
Risk of Landslide and Flood in Himachal Pradesh
Due to heavy rains in many areas of Himachal Pradesh, a situation of landslide and flash flood has arisen. Many shops were washed away, buildings collapsed and road connectivity was disrupted. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Kangra, Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti districts. Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Solan, Mandi, Kullu and Shimla city.
More than 170 villages in the Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur districts of northern Odisha are submerged in flood waters. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in the next few days due to the new low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Many villages are affected due to the rising water level of Suvarnarekha and Baitarani rivers. 130 villages of Baliapal, Bhograi and Jaleswar and about 45 villages of Jajpur are in the grip of floods. Dhamnagar and Bhandaripokhari blocks of Bhadrak district are also included in the affected area.
