Preparations for the Winter Session

Chief Minister's Visit to New Delhi
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu may visit New Delhi on November 16. His visit is to attend the 32nd meeting of the Northern Zonal Council. This meeting will be held on November 17 in Surajkund, Haryana. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair this meeting. Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and Chief Secretaries from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the Union Territories of Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh will participate. The meeting will discuss inter-state issues, security, development, and administrative coordination.
On November 17, a special meeting will be held at the State Secretariat on the assessment, levy, and recovery of GST. This meeting will be chaired by RD Nazim, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department. Issues concerning the assessment and recovery of GST on minerals will be discussed in the meeting. Additionally, the revenue collection and tax assessment of previous years will also be reviewed. The Director of Industries and senior officials from the Finance Department will be present at the meeting.
