Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel shares surge; improved quarterly results and subscriber growth boost investor confidence. Technical charts and support-resistance levels indicate future gains.
This month, the telecom sector has witnessed significant activity in the shares of Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel. The reasons behind this include improved quarterly results, an increase in subscriber numbers, and the anticipation of relief concerning AGR (Adjusted Gross Revenue). All these factors have boosted investor confidence and led to strength in the shares.
Vodafone Idea's Share Rises
Vodafone Idea's share has risen by over 19% this month. The company's loss decreased to Rs 5,584 crore in the September 2025 quarter, compared to Rs 7,176 crore last year. Revenue also increased by 2.4% to Rs 11,194.70 crore, indicating a gradual improvement in the company's business.
Technical charts show that the share is now trading above its crucial moving averages, a first since July 2024. This signifies that the share's base is strengthening. If it crosses the resistance levels of Rs 10.69 and Rs 11.88, a rise up to Rs 15 is possible. Currently, the share has support at Rs 9.76, Rs 9.40, and Rs 8.70.
Why Bharti Airtel Continues to Show Strength
Bharti Airtel's share is also performing bly, recently touching a new all-time high of Rs 2,136. The second-quarter results have been quite good. The company's profit surged by 89% to Rs 6,791.7 crore, and revenue increased by 25.7% to Rs 52,145 crore.
Subscriber numbers also saw growth. In September, Airtel added 0.44 million new subscribers, while Reliance Jio added 3.25 million, and Vodafone Idea's subscribers decreased by 0.74 million. Technically, if Airtel's share sustains above the Rs 2,150 level, it could rise to Rs 2,270. Meanwhile, there is minor resistance at Rs 2,215, with main support at Rs 2,050 and Rs 2,000.
Considering the current market sentiment and quarterly results, it can be said that investors could see returns of up to 45% in Vodafone Idea and approximately 8.8% in Bharti Airtel. Investors should make decisions keeping technical levels and support-resistance in mind.
