Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has reacted to the terrorist attack near Delhi's Red Fort. Calling it highly condemnable, he stated that no religion can justify the brutal killing of innocent people. He further added that while the investigation into the matter will continue, it is also important to remember that not every resident of Jammu and Kashmir is a terrorist, nor is every resident associated with terrorists. There are only a few individuals who have consistently tried to disrupt the peace and brotherhood here.
Chief Minister's Statement
Omar Abdullah said, “It is unfortunate that some people are blaming Jammu and Kashmir without any evidence. We must not forget that the number of terrorists is very small, and they do not represent the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” He further stated that those responsible should face strict punishment, but innocent Kashmiri citizens should not be blamed or associated with this incident. He remarked, “When we view every resident of Jammu and Kashmir or every Kashmiri Muslim through the lens of terrorism, it becomes even more difficult to keep people on the right path and maintain normalcy.”
The Chief Minister appealed to the Delhi Police and other investigative agencies for a fair and transparent investigation. He emphasized that the matter should be thoroughly investigated, and those found guilty should be punished severely according to the law.

Questions Regarding Education and Jobs
On this issue, Omar Abdullah also brought up matters related to education and employment. He mentioned that in the past, some university professors were dismissed from their jobs based on suspicion in similar cases, yet no legal action was taken against them. He questioned, “Why were they only dismissed from their jobs, but no legal proceedings followed?”
His statement indicates that mere administrative action is not enough; a fair and legal process must also be ensured to maintain public trust and protect the innocent. Omar Abdullah stated that it is crucial to differentiate between terrorists and innocent citizens. He said, “Not every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir is associated with terrorists. There are only a few individuals who have always tried to disrupt the peace and brotherhood here.”
The Chief Minister also stated that maintaining a stable and normal situation in the state with the cooperation of the central government is his priority. He believes that positive dialogue, transparent investigation, and social harmony are the only ways to ensure long-term security and peace.
