Teams' Performance in the First Match

In the first match of the series, India defeated South Africa by 25 runs with the help of the Duckworth-Lewis rule. Team India posted a challenging score of 300 runs, thanks to a brilliant 93 from Harvansh Singh Pangalia and 65 from RS Ambresh. JJ Basson took four wickets for South Africa, but his efforts were not enough to restrict Team India from setting a big total.

While chasing the target, South African batsman Joric van Schalwyk remained unbeaten with 60 runs off 72 balls, but his team could only manage 148 runs for 4 wickets in 27.4 overs. The match was halted due to weather, and India were declared the winners under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

The second Youth ODI match will be played at the Willowmoore Park Stadium in Benoni. The match will start at 1:00 PM Indian time.
