KL Rahul Creates History

Despite being dismissed for just 7 runs in the second innings, KL Rahul achieved a major milestone in Test history. He has become the second-highest Indian opening batsman to score the most runs in a single Test series in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) countries. KL Rahul has scored 532 runs so far in the current series.

At the top of the list is the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, who scored 542 runs on the 1979 tour of England. In third place is Murali Vijay, who scored 482 runs in the 2014-15 Australia series. Rahul's achievement elevates the contribution of opening batsmen in Indian Test cricket to new heights.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's 13th Half-Century

In the second innings of the Indian team, young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal once again performed brilliantly, completing his 13th Test half-century in just 44 balls. This is his third half-century in this series. He remained unbeaten on 51 off 49 balls at the end of the day's play, with Akash Deep accompanying him on the crease, unbeaten on 4 off 2 balls.

Yashasvi and KL Rahul provided a good start to India's second innings. The pair added 46 runs for the first wicket, which was broken by Josh Tongue, who had KL Rahul caught by Joe Root. Rahul returned to the pavilion after scoring 7 runs off 28 balls. Sai Sudharsan, who came in next, was dismissed LBW by Gus Atkinson for 11 runs.
