Not only the equity market, but also the commodity and currency-related markets will be affected by these holidays. There will be no transactions on the MCX and currency derivatives on August 15th and August 27th. This will also halt trading in commodities like gold, silver, crude oil, and foreign exchange on these days.

The stock market started the holiday week on Monday with strength. The Sensex closed 746.29 points higher at 80,604.08. Meanwhile, the Nifty 50 gained 221.75 points and closed at 24,585.05. Bank Nifty also registered a gain of nearly 1 percent and crossed 55,510.
