ISI Spy Hanif Khan Arrested in Jaisalmer for Transmitting Military Secrets During 'Operation Sindoor'

In Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the CID arrested Hanif Khan for spying for the ISI. The accused was sending confidential military information to Pakistan during 'Operation Sindoor'. He was arrested under the Official Secrets Act after concrete evidence was found during the investigation.

Jaisalmer: In a significant operation on Thursday, the CID (Intelligence) in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, arrested a person named Hanif Khan. The 47-year-old Hanif is accused of serious charges of spying for Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI. The accused allegedly sent confidential information related to the army to Pakistan in exchange for money during Operation Sindoor. Concrete evidence supporting this has been found during mobile investigations.

Accusation of Espionage During Operation Sindoor

IG Dr. Vishnukant of CID (Intelligence) stated that his team was continuously monitoring espionage activities in the state. During this time, Hanif's activities appeared suspicious. The investigation revealed that Hanif was in contact with a Pakistani intelligence agency via social media.

Due to residing in a border area, it was easy for Hanif to gather information about military bases and activities. Dr. Vishnukant said, “Hanif was in contact with a Pakistani handler during Operation Sindoor and was providing information about army movements.” This revelation put security agencies on high alert.

Concrete Evidence Uncovered in Mobile Investigation

Technical investigation of Hanif's mobile and digital activities confirmed that he was providing sensitive military information to the ISI in exchange for money. Messages, call logs, and social media connections revealed during the investigation clearly indicated that Hanif was part of an espionage racket.

Based on this evidence, the CID officially registered a case against Hanif under the Official Secrets Act, 1923. The accused has been arrested, and further legal proceedings have commenced. Officials stated that more suspects are being sought in connection with this case.

This is the Fourth Espionage Case in Jaisalmer

This is the fourth instance this year in Jaisalmer where an individual has been accused of spying for Pakistan. Being a border area, security agencies remain vigilant here, yet some individuals still attempt to transmit sensitive information to foreign agencies.

In recent months, several spies have also been apprehended in different parts of the country. Security officials emphasize that investigating the network in such cases is crucial to prevent any potentially dangerous conspiracies in a timely manner.

Investigation into Hanif's Network Continues

Police are now investigating Hanif's contacts and network. The objective is to determine if any other individuals are involved in this espionage racket. The investigation team stated that if other associates of Hanif are identified, strict action will be taken against them as well.

CID officials have also appealed to citizens to immediately inform security agencies if they observe any suspicious activities. Hanif's apprehension has further heightened the vigilance of security agencies in Jaisalmer and the border region.
