Veteran Bollywood actress and Samajwadi Party's Rajya Sabha Member, Jaya Bachchan, is once again in the limelight due to her outspoken statements. In a recent interview, she expressed her complaint regarding the noise level in Parliament.

New Delhi: Renowned Bollywood actress and Samajwadi Party's Rajya Sabha member, Jaya Bachchan, often makes headlines due to her statements, especially concerning the media and photographers. In a recent interview, she light-heartedly revealed that her hearing has become a little weak because she has to listen to so much shouting and yelling in Parliament every day. She said, "Thank God I haven't lost my mind, I just hear a little less."

In the same conversation, Jaya Bachchan also shared her views on the media and paparazzi. She clearly stated, "I am a product of the media, but I have no relation with the paparazzi. Who are these people? Have they been trained to represent the people of the country? Do you call them media? I come from the media, my father was a journalist, and I have great respect for the real media."

Parliament's Noise Has Taken a Toll

Jaya Bachchan light-heartedly stated that the daily serious debates and shouting in Parliament are affecting her ears. She said:

'My hearing has become a little weak because I have to listen to so much shouting and yelling in Parliament every day. Thank God I haven't lost my mind, I just hear a little less.'

This statement reflects Jaya's simplicity and straightforwardness. She shared her experience, explaining how the parliamentary environment can sometimes become excessively stressful and audibly overwhelming.

Displeasure Towards Media and Paparazzi

During the interview, Jaya Bachchan also targeted the media, especially the paparazzi. She stated that she respects the real essence of media because her father, Tarun Kumar Bhaduari, was a journalist. However, Jaya believes that some people who work as paparazzi do not represent the true media. Jaya said:

'I am a product of the media, but I have no relation with the paparazzi. Who are these people? Have they been trained to represent the people of the country? Do you call them media?'

She also emphasized that many paparazzi "stand wearing dirty, drain-pipe-like pants, holding a mobile phone" and believe that having a mobile phone allows them to take anyone's picture and make comments as they please.

Social Media Reactions

Following Jaya Bachchan's statement, social media was flooded with reactions. Some people supported her, while others lightly mocked it. This is not the first time Jaya Bachchan has expressed annoyance with the paparazzi. However, this time, her comments on their clothing and behavior attracted more attention on media and social platforms.

Jaya Bachchan also shared past experiences, stating that she often had to object in Parliament when addressed as "Jaya Amitabh Bachchan". She asserts that her identity and respect are linked to her individual merit and political contributions, not solely to her husband Amitabh Bachchan. Jaya Bachchan has carved a distinct identity in Bollywood with her understated yet powerful acting skills. She has been honored with several prestigious awards. Additionally, as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, she has played an active role in social and political issues.
