India's well-known two-wheeler company, Kinetic Green, has made a comeback in the scooter market, and in a completely new style. The company has launched a new electric scooter called Kinetic DX, which is not only b in terms of features but also provides a guarantee of 9 years or 1 lakh kilometers in terms of reliability.
Kinetic DX: History and Comeback
For those who rode scooters in the 90s, Kinetic DX is not a new name. This scooter was first launched in 1984 and remained popular on the roads until 2007. Back then, it was manufactured in collaboration with Japan's Honda company and had a petrol engine. But now, the company has launched the same name in an electric avatar, which runs entirely on battery.
Bookings at Just ₹1000, Limited Stock
Bookings for the new electric Kinetic DX have started from July 28th, and customers can book it by paying a token amount of just ₹1000. However, the company has made it clear that only 40,000 units of this scooter will be manufactured. That is, whoever books early will be able to buy it.
Price and Color Options
The Kinetic DX comes in two variants - DX and DX+.
Their ex-showroom prices are ₹1.12 lakh and ₹1.18 lakh respectively. The scooter will be available in five colors – Black, Blue, Silver, White, and Red.
Powerful Battery and Speed
This electric scooter is equipped with a 2.6 kWh LFP battery, which offers a range of approximately 116 kilometers on a single charge.
It has a 4.8 kW hub-mounted BLDC motor that takes the scooter to a top speed of 90 kmph.
It has three driving modes – Range, Power, and Turbo.
In addition, it also has a reverse mode, which makes it easy to back the scooter.
Warranty Promise: 9 Years or 1 Lakh Kilometers
Initially, the company is offering a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km with the scooter. But customers can extend it to 9 years or 1 lakh km if they wish. This is the first time in its segment that such a long warranty is being offered.

The Kinetic DX appears to be far ahead of other scooters in terms of features. It includes:
- 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster
- Built-in speakers with Bluetooth connectivity

Although bookings have started now, the delivery of the scooter will start from October. Customers who book early will be given priority because the company is only manufacturing 40,000 units.
