Kuldeep Yadav, spinner for the Indian cricket team, is hosting a wedding reception in Lucknow on March 17 following his marriage to Vanshika Chaddha on March 14 in Mussoorie. The reception is being held at Hotel The Centrum in Golf City and is expected to be attended by guests from cricket, politics and the entertainment industry.
The event is anticipated to draw more than 600 attendees, with arrangements made for security and logistics. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to be present, along with several prominent political leaders, Indian cricket team players and other notable guests.
Kuldeep Yadav married Vanshika Chaddha in a traditional ceremony in Mussoorie on March 14. The wedding took place at a luxury hotel in Uttarakhand and followed a Rajasthani-Rajputana theme, with attendance limited to family members and close friends. Vanshika Chaddha is reported to be Kuldeep Yadav’s childhood friend, and the two have known each other for several years. The Lucknow reception is considered the largest public event associated with the wedding celebrations.
Several current and former Indian cricket players are expected to attend the reception, including captain Rohit Sharma, former cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Gautam Gambhir, as well as Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal and Rinku Singh. Other domestic and international cricketers may also be in attendance.
Among political attendees, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jay Shah are also expected to be present, along with senior officials, business leaders and individuals associated with the entertainment sector.
Given the presence of high-profile guests, Lucknow Police have implemented special security arrangements at the venue. Additional police personnel have been deployed within the hotel premises, a dedicated traffic management plan has been put in place, and separate arrangements have been made for VIP movement. Authorities are maintaining heightened vigilance around the venue.
The reception will feature a specially curated vegetarian menu for guests. According to the hotel management, the menu includes a wide range of dishes, snacks and desserts, along with international-style preparations, traditional Indian cuisine and specialty sweets.
